
Born and raised in Houston's historic Fifth Ward, Dr. McClintock overcame significant childhood adversity, including abuse, foster care placement, and educational challenges. Through perseverance, faith, and determination, he earned his GED and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably and distinguished himself through exemplary leadership both at home and abroad.
During his military career, Dr. McClintock earned degrees in Religious Studies and Paralegal Studies and received numerous military honors, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and several other awards recognizing his dedicated service. Following a successful military career, he retired honorably in June 2014.
Today, Dr. McClintock serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Upward Bound Ministries, Inc. and Senior Pastor of The Dream Center of Greater Houston. Through these organizations, he leads initiatives focused on spiritual growth, community outreach, veteran support services, homelessness prevention, food security, and humanitarian assistance. His ministry philosophy is centered on serving people with compassion while meeting both spiritual and practical needs.
A respected civic and community leader, Dr. McClintock maintains active membership in several professional, civic, veteran, and fraternal organizations. His commitment to service has earned widespread recognition throughout the Houston community and beyond. United States Congressional recognition from the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Texas, 18th Congressional District and from Houston City Councilwoman Tarsha Jackson-District B.
In December 2025, Dr. McClintock was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humanitarianism from Strategic Growth Leaders Bible University, Inc. in recognition of his outstanding work serving veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and food-insecure families.
Dr. McClintock is married to Angela Thompson-McClintock, who faithfully partners with him in ministry and community initiatives. Together, they remain committed to advancing faith, hope, and opportunities for individuals and families throughout Greater Houston and beyond.
